lyrics

I’m sitting again with my legs off
the edge of the mountain we used to go.
A beer on the left and your
absence on the right. Can you see?

You didn't say goodbye, but it
doesn’t mean you didn’t leave me.
You stopped calling me and afterwhile
forgetting me, forgetting me.

‘Cause I feel like a novel
on the shelf, neglected.
When you read me it was the only way
I could see you without getting an excuse.
‘Cause I feel like a novel
of the past.

You did allow the time to stay more
between us and inflate itself.
I ask you for a text or a reason,
a door slam, an argument or something.

Let me say bye before you come
to say hello as nothing happened.
As if all the trains could engage
a reverse gear, a reverse gear.

You could have taken your place.
You could have taken your name.
You could have taken them.

Complete the long list of those,
Complete the long list of those
who I lost not knowing why.
